Victor Park District

Victor Park was originally comprised of 18 lots in downtown Victor making a 1.5 acre park. The park was owned and maintained by Victor Garden Club who purchased the first lot in May, 1949 and had others donated, or paid back taxes so the lots could be deeded to them.

The Victor Garden Club was the only garden club in Montana to own a park and they did a wonderful job for 65 years. In 2014, Victor Garden Club sold Victor Park to Ravalli County for $10 to be maintained by the Victor Park District.

The Blue Star Memorial in Victor Park was dedicated on May 27, 2007. This memorial pays tribute to the U.S. armed forces. The program was started in 1945 after WWII by the National Council of State Garden Clubs. The blue star was used on service flags to denote a service member fighting in the war.

The park is currently used by many groups and individuals and the Park District is looking for funding for upcoming projects at the park.

The 2016 annual budget for Victor Park was $4,100 and it's pretty much the same today.
